OMG TEH SHEEP HAT by biku-no-kiba OMG TEH SHEEP HAT by biku-no-kiba
This is a hat that I made as a going-away present for one of my best friends, Bento-chan. She's off to Vancouver.

She helped me (provided moral support) while I made hats for my nephews over one weekend before Christmas. As we were heading home to our respective parental homes Christmas Eve, she asked in a tearful voice while making Blinky Eyes at me why *she* didn't have a hat.

"Because you didn't ask me for one, silly," I replied.

The request came soon after. ^_^

The hat is my own design, made from lambswool fleece (with an arctic fleece lining).

OMGosh! That is the cutest, coolest hat I've ever seen!!! :jawdrop:

Ok, so I'm kinda partial to sheepies, and am silly enough to even wear a hat like that- I run a 4-H club for kids so I have an "excuse" to wear it, too. Hope it's okay that I'm thinking about using your basic idea to craft a similar one to be made as the craft project at our next meeting.
Many thanks for the great idea!

Take Care:hug:

That sounds awesome! I would love to see pictures. As for the idea, sheep + hat is whatever you make of it. Again, want pictures. :)

I also sell the hats, if you want to take that route as well... ;)

And thanks for the fave!

Will definitely give these a shot in the next month or maybe two...will let you see a pic either way- regardless of how horrifying they may turn out. See, I'm of the mindset that allows kids to actually make their own crafts instead of just piecing together a kit or something an adult did 95% of the legwork on.

Thanks again for the idea:smooch:

Well if it's for kids, I would recommend skipping the reversible inner layer (it just adds more confusion) and the embroidery--maybe they can stitch or glue on felt, considering how old they are. The fleece will be easy for them to work with, and cheap too! :)

Good luck!

It is pretty adorable! I have more coming, though, so you might not want to pick finalists yet. ;)
