Naptime (Updated)

Pausing at the door to her cottage - now shared with a small band of others whom were even trickier to handle than the animals, also known as her husband and children - Fluttershy steeled herself for the chaos that was sure to be going on inside. Sure, she was fairly used to it by now, but it still took a bit of calming to deal with the various loud noises, minor explosions, and general distortions of reality. Sure, Discord himself was sweet enough to try and not alarm his pony wife, but their children were another story. Discord had assured Fluttershy that everything would be fine and more 'mellow' once the cubs were older and more in control of their chaotic magic. Unfortunately for Fluttershy, then was not now and all three of her distinctly draconequus children - something about the chaotic genes being very dominant - were a massive hoof full, even, er, especially the youngest.

Inhaling deeply and releasing the breath, though still smiling as she recalled the sweet memories in accordance with the disastrous ones, Fluttershy pushed open the door. However, she wasn't expecting the silence that met her. Utter calm was all that she heard, intertwined with the sweet calls of birds and other nearby fauna. "Discord dear, I'm back from visiting with Twilight, are you and the children here?" She called gently. Suddenly, a gentle, stuttering snore caught her ears from a side room and she quirked a pink brow, moving to investigate.

Pausing in the doorway of a den area, Fluttershy felt her smile grow impossibly wide and a feeling of warmth and love surged through her at the sight that met her. There, in the middle of the floor on an old, blue-green rug, were all four of her troublemakers. Bathed in the warm afternoon rays of sunlight, they were all fast asleep, Discord snoring low and quiet, while from his back their youngest son, Helix, echoed the snores, but in an almost chirplike manner. Harmony, their eldest, had tucked her within the protective circle of her father's body, head resting upon her lion's paw near Discord's face. Her long green dragon's tail was wrapped several times around Discord's own, a clinging behavior that never failed to melt Fluttershy's heart. She chuckled softly as the sight of her middle child, Halcyon, equally as deeply asleep, sprawled out on his back. His scaly green forelegs thrust upwards, clutching limply at nothing, his mouth wide open as if to roar or shout.

Fluttershy stood still in the doorway, leaning relaxed against the doorframe for a minute or two, pondering. Should she wake them up or just let them enjoy their sun nap? After another minute she decided she would let them enjoy their nap. It would be a good opportunity to tidy up a little bit without someone immediately reversing the work, as well as checkup on the animals around the cottage. With one last small laugh she turned on her hooves and made to go about that business, still smiling from ear to ear.

So, I was gonna have this up WAY earlier today, but thanks to SAI I had to redo pretty much everything except the sketch (Thanks to a screenshot I was able to redraw the lines well enough). Just a cute little thing of Discord and my Fluttercord nextgens Helix (Yellow with spotted legs), Harmony (Pink and white hair), and Halcyon (Black hair and dragon forelegs) napping. I'll add a story at some point but at the current moment I'm not quite feeling a good enough story. So for now just enjoy the cute.
