Never here at all
As the wind whips my hair up
Like snapping an elastic
The outermost tips of my being
Start to lose feeling
Breaking off redundant
And disappearing into nothing
Until only my lips
Are parted in an almost kiss
Or like I was just about to ask
But it's too late the moment's passed
Before long
I am gone
Like I was never here at all
I'm starting to believe the calls
Were coming from inside the house
You removed yourself like all doubt
So I turned from you, godless
Turning from a hot mess
I closed my eyes and allowed
My thoughts to scatter aloud
And so without your arms to gather
Me together
I simply let go
Just like they told me so
