  • Tasakeru Book II Chapter 6: 2.25 pages done
  • Tasakeru Book I Appendix: 7 pages done
  • Shattered Skies Chapter 21: 1.25 pages done
  • Photo projects: Resumed

As you can see, I added my Appendix to the list of works in progress up there to serve as extra motivation/shame to get it done before the end of the year. Everything else is coming along well, particularly the photo projects. I estimate I've got about a quarter of the shots I need for the magical girl one, what with the seven or so I took over the past week.

What exactly is the magical girl photo project, you may well ask? I've been mentioning it for the past ten(!!!) months and planning it for around 2.5 years now, but I haven't given any details. Well, being the trolling creator that I am, I have to keep stringing you guys along somehow. Therefore...

Here we have my basic layout for the project. Yes, I did just say "basic"... these are placement markers so I can keep track of where to put each separate shot in the final version. Once each shot is properly edited and in place, I'll start adding lighting effects, filters, magical death lasers, sparkly glowy bits, and all that other good stuff. It may not look like much now, but it's gonna be quite something when it's done. If you can correctly identify all the characters that will be in this picture based just on my symbols and shorthand... well, congratulations, and seek professional help. (And thank you, Chronorin for your assistance here. Couldn't have even made it this far without you, pal.)

On a somewhat related note: I think I'm officially a Whovian now. I've been in high gear lately, racing through Ten's third season and Season 2 of Torchwood, and I'm finding myself more and more drawn to the world. I guess it was only a matter of time before I went all in, given that I'm such a massive sci-fi geek, but still. I admit: when Martha showed up again in the Torchwood Season 2 premiere's teaser, I squealed. Oh, I squealed. Rose and Donna are great too, don't get me wrong, but Martha's my favorite. XD

What else? Let's see... well, Vivid Strike went somewhere horrifying this past week. You wouldn't expect the spinoff of the lightest and fluffiest part of the Nanohaverse to have what's probably the most concentrated source of nightmare fuel in the entire franchise. Anyone expecting more cute, fanservicey magic martial arts antics from this show in the vein of Vivid's first season, brace yourself. I took screencaps of the particular scene and put them in a post on my Tumblr, but the post comes with a big fat flashing neon *TRIGGER WARNING* for blood, violence, and brutal bullying (and spoilers), so before you take a look, consider yourself warned .

Anyway. Catch you all next week.

That... is certainly dark though I think Nanoha Force is worse.

It would be, but Nanoha Force doesn't exist.

There is no such thing as Nanoha Force.

There is no such thing as Nanoha Force.

There is no such thing as Nanoha Force.

There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

I cannot tell what you are doing? Also um, should we just leave alone that final topic of mine from chapter 20 of Shattered Skies?

Sorry, it was a joke, a reference to a brainwashing technique from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Most Nanoha fans I know loathe Nanoha Force for very good reason, so I'm inclined to agree with them and pretend it doesn't exist.

As for the thing about the CLAMPverse: I'm aware that Tsubasa is an alternate continuity, that the Sakura and Shaoran in the beginning of the story aren't the "real" ones from CCS or the "real" ones from their universe, that clones are involved, and that it's horrifically complicated. That's about all I need, really.

Ah. I'm not that fond of it either but I do like cause one of the main characters is male (sorry for how that may sound).

And OK and sorry to push I was worried I'd upset you.
