The Karachi Port Trust Underpass in Karachi was the first underpass built in Karachi. Constructed at a cost of RS 170 million, it opened to traffic on 1st October 2005.
For the first two years the underpass faced a lot of problems. In the monsoon rains of 2006 it was filled up with water forming a Public Pool like structure. After a few changes in its drainage system and structure, the underpass was reopened to traffic

haha, ya this is the very same underpass that filled up in its first year of operation. A huge public pool, in operative for its intended use for the whole monsoon season.
