Pop? un pop? why not both? by Bgal2 Pop? un pop? why not both? by Bgal2
I seen a lot of ' I support popular/unpopular stuff' stamps around here.

They all make good points on both sides, by why not the best- er, I mean, both?

I do like popular things like Homestar and Coraline, but I do like the things that critics usually look on in disgust, like Speed Racer and Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!

Personally, I looked on how entertaining the plot, how tolerable the characters are, and/or how the background score is done then the popularity of said thing. I like to be not bias when I watch crap.

And it's some werid law that no matter how much people hate it, someone's going to like it, and visc versa.

wonderful stamp :)

I like popular things like pokemon games, cuddly animals, vampires (classic ones), Tim Burton, Disney and Warner Bros, Ghibli some Shoujo animes etc, but I also like unpopular stuff like bats, birds, reptiles, 1920s/1930s music and underrated films like Casper, Ferngully and Don Bluth's films and a lot of other underrated things.

I feel the same way. Using the Sonic series as an example: I love Sonamy which is popular, but I also love characters like Chris and Elise and pairings involving them, which are unpopular.
If I like something, I like it, regardless of whether it's popular or not. Sometimes it will be, sometimes it won't be, but popularity is never the deciding factor in whether I like the thing or not.
It's all about having your own identity, and being true to yourself. =3 :+fav:
