If you need a scrollable box in your Journal, where you can put recent news, fav's or thumbs, this one is for you.

Let's cut the BS and go to the code.

Put the following in the CSS (beta) box on your Journal:

.element{
position: relative !important;
overflow: auto!important;
vertical-align: top !important;
height: 190px !important;
width: 100% !important;
background:#d9dfd9!important;
border: 1px #92A399 solid !important;
padding: 15px!important;
}

The below code goes into your Journal body:

Add your contents here

No BS - just CSS :lol:

Obviously the parameters of the colors and such can be changed. Go play with the stuff to make it suit YOUR Journal.

I hope someone can use this. If it has been posted before, please excuse me - I didn't see it.

Have fun =)

Thanks a lot! Glad you could use it =)

Tip: change the width of the scrollbox to something like 90% (play around with it), cuz you use padding in your Journal CSS, and in IE the scrollbar will then be invisible ;)

It's helpful .. but you don't need to add that !important thing to all properties! but nice one. :)

Yes I could, explanation is very clear. I have also bookmarked the "Two column" script but need to fiddle a bit with it, didn't work too well. But as they say "... one step at the time " it is some sort of addiction after all :D :rofl:
Thanks again :thanks: :blowkiss:

Hey quick question, I wanted my div box to be a dialog bubble that I designed. I've gotten the image to load and everything, and I got the code to work so-so but the text goes outside the dialog box (which makes sense, it's following the guidelines of the div box and not the background image).

Is there a code that forces the text to only go so far or to a certain distance? I'm probably not wording that well, here's what I have so far: [link]
(please ignore the horrible set up of that particular journal entry, I'm still in the middle of experimenting).

You could try to code a fixed background image for the scroll-box. Try playing around with this code:

{
background-image:
url('image.jpg' );
background-repeat:
no-repeat;
background-attachment:
fixed
}

You have to close the 'div' with a '/div'.

Like this:

<div="center">image here</div>

I'm assuming you have all the header code correct. If so, try adding one more </div> after the last </div>. If that doesnt work, please send me the header code too.

Cheers =)

does it need to be in a specific place in the css code? Because I used a stylesheet generator for my css. :/
Also, how do I mess with the colors?

No specific place other than as described in my News post.

The colorcodes (e.g. #d9dfd9) can be customised.

Good luck =)
