First off I want to say thank you to everyone who favorited his new lastest design, seriously it took me a while to make a lot of improvements considering HE WAS THE FIRST THING I EVER POSTED TO DEVIANTART and I loved his old design but I knew he needed to improve a lot and I’ve been gradually improving each character design in my au but I’ve also been thinking of other things I want to create such as my own characters and world, lately I’ve been taking a lot of inspiration for like making girls in cool jackets with a subway/metro themed style and I look forward to making that soon as well! I just wanna say, I love the direction I went with his personality, I want him to be confident and expressive so I keep that in mind whenever I make art of him and I look forward to drawing him some more especially some fun costume ideas! But as for the main fixes with his design and the others:

>The Hairstyle is more sharper

>The shoes are infinitely better

>Im getting better at drawing him

>HE LOOKS SO MUCH CUTER EVEN THOUGH HIS OLD DESIGN WAS CUTE

>Maintaining consistency

And as for Dragoon, I’ve been working up an improvement for him, but I still believe his original design is a classic at this point lol and I like drawing him for fun!

I’ve really been watching TADC a lot, I feel like the finale was incredible and I still kinda miss it now lol but I had so much fun watching it! I feel better mentally and have taken a break for some time since I posted my new profile icon, but I wanted to say that I really felt confident enough to share Pegasus today, she’s my favorite design as of late and she’s very special to me, I hope others feel that same way too, She loves being Gingka’s companion even if he’s annoyed a lot by her antic, but they do care about eachother a lot! Otherwise it’s okay I dunno why I cared so much lol, but I wanted to write this short journal tho since I still like writing time to time :)

Also here’s some lines I wrote for Pegasus:

So I guess it’s kinda funny that right after working on Gingka and Tyson I decided to work on Valorent lol, but truth to be told I kept watching dark mlp Au’s and I couldn’t help but to be inspired since I haven’t really worked on her design in quite a while and I wanted to pay some more attention to her at some point!

So I did wanted to cover a bit an information about her since I’ve gotten new ideas and new inspiration!

1. Shes not really a demon and the horns are really just cosmetics, the reason for this is because I don’t want to go the “Demon/hell route” since it’s been done a dozen times before, but I still wanted to add fun details to her design to make her interesting and appealing :) However I feel like the demon angle is still something I’d consider in the future but for now she’s more of an experiment, hence why she has a “Maker”.

2. The stitches, I know this has been a reoccurring theme between all the designs I made for each of the beypets or bit-beasts lol, but those stitches actually reinforces that they were artificially created and it’s meant as telltale sign that each of them have a dark backstory, and each ended up in the hands of their owners in different ways, essentially they were created in dark underground labs, inspired by the iconic beasts of the past, but with new faces that definitively don’t feel quite the same, I kinda feel like this kind of “dark science” angle was interesting and I’m still exploring the idea more!

3. Why I made her trans? I felt like it was right for her character since I’m still learning about that kind of sexuality and thought it’d be kinda cool to see her represented through that and to be proud for that kind of identity soo I’m pretty happy with that choice for her 💖 And she’s 24 years old or at least an obviously adult-coded character like everyone else in this au which helps to keep her writing and themes appropriate.

4. Why is she a Motorcycle Horse? Well I wanted her to match the theme/fashion I was going for Valtryek’s design, so since she was well a motorcycle woman, I wanted Valorent to compliment that while still having her own unique design 💜

5. What is her personality and why is she deaf? I would say that Valorent is more timid, quiet, and very emotional, she can’t really hear things or really speak, so she has plenty of thoughts and feelings all the time and uses her expressions/movement to express the way she feels to others, including her friends. This is a really important thing I wanted to clarify because this is why she doesn’t speak, at first she did talk but later on I decided it’d be more meaningful for her to use expression as a means of communication rather than being like everyone else, and for that shes special and meaningful to me 💖💜

6. Her origin story: So to bring up the Au’s point I had mentioned earlier, I felt like a dark origin story would’ve made the best sense for her, not just design wise but because I believed it was interesting if Valtryek was the first to find Valt and Valt eventually discovered Valorent which is why they are altogether as a trio, also when I wrote

“Abandoned by her maker, she was left to decay for what remains of her in a wicked forest with hollow trees whose branches stretch long and wide, the air brutally unmerciful, until a boy found her and choose to save her, having waited for days without a savior in sight, finally at last somebody hears her cries….and holds her in their arms for the first time….

I felt like that kind of backstory resonated with me a lot, the tragedy of being abandoned by the creator who made you, left to die and rot away in a place that nobody would ever know to find you…that’s really devastating, and for Valt to be this glimmer of hope, rescuing her and offering a flower as a gesture of hope and love, I really felt that, which is why I made that her origin story because I love dark and deep stories as well especially for characters with a past history of abuse or abandonment because I kinda relate to that, just on a emotional level 🖤

Summary: Her character is still in development, But I’ve been enjoying getting back to her and developing her a bit more since she’s actually interesting and I feel like I really connect to her themes, design, quirks, and personality a lot! So this journal was a little brief look into my thoughts on her character overall, but I look forward to fleshing out her story more and improving as I go along, I’m just a noob at writing if I’m being honest, I was never really a professional, but I still appreciate unique stories when I read them, so I hope you guys enjoyed this journal on Valorent and wish you well 💜🖤
