Steinway and Sons Grand Piano by bewsii Steinway and Sons Grand Piano by bewsii
This is a Baby Grand I modeled, textured and lit based on designed by Steinway & Sons. I really love how this one turned out. I spent a lot of time working with the render settings to really push my knowledge of rendering.

Modeled in 3ds Max
Rendered with V-Ray 2.10

This is a beautiful piano rendering. I am amazed. Could I please use this for a website that I am designing for my wife? She is doing a doctorate in piano performance and pedagogy and she would LOVE this!

Please may I use this image to make a poster to advertise some piano recitals happening at the University of Sussex where I work.  No one will profit from its use.  The poster will be displayed internally at the University.  Thank you. Sarah s.maddox@sussex.ac.uk

Great job - actually the only thing that can tell it's not a photo are the wheels :)

I saw some of your work, too. It's a good start, and the biggest thing I can suggest is to spend a lot of time with GOOD, detailed tutorials. Digital Tutors and/or the Gnomon Tutoring site has the best in the world. Everything from beginning level (10 minute) tutorials, to extremely advanced (12+ hours) lessons.

Other than that, it's just a matter of learning and figuring out proper mesh flows of everything around you. Once you learn what a mesh "should" look like on every day objects, the rest gets easy.

tehe, tnxs for the advice. Yeah I love it when I get time to do a good tutorial, it's amazing the extra little skills you can pick up :D
