These remind me of the photographs you could take in Link's Awakening DX. Must be something about how cute and expressive they are.

Aw, the feelings. Your art style makes this extra cute and expressive, too!

I remember being most awestruck when I entered Lost Woods the first time. That instant atmospheric change, and the riddle to get through the mist were hauntingly beautiful. I wasn't even aware of where I was going, just exploring the land by myself.

Even though I can easily teleport to the Korok village by now, I still go through Lost Woods just for that atmosphere. I found out it's even possible to do it by horse, you just have to pay extra close attention to the wind in the second half. I let my horse walk (slowest speed) and observe everything.

Best atmosphere at night. 8) Especially when seeing the dark shapes of deer escaping in that mist.
