Final Boss Cutscene
(Doomguy loads his Super Shotgun as he walked into the throne room, looking up to see Velhallen Beo)

Doomguy: Alright, bitch. Time for your ass to meet my chainsaw.
VEGA: I am detecting a massive energy spike from his being. It must be from the infinite power that the Infinity Stones provide in the Infinity Gauntlet.
Doomguy: Yeah, I figured VEGA. Leave it to me.

(Velhallen Beo jumped down and walked up to Doomguy, using the Reality Stone to cast an illusion to make it look like they were back in the place were Doomguy was entombed)

Velhallen Beo: You let all you cared about down...What do you have to show for it?
Doomguy: Nice try, I've already made peace with my past. It's time to Rip and Tear your ugly ass!

(Doomguy and Beo charged at each other, ready to fight)

Theme:
Ending
(Doomguy clenched the Infinity Stones in his hand. The power of the stones surged through his body as he growled)

VEGA: It is highly unadvisable to do this, Doomslayer.
Doomguy: Trust me, VEGA. Doing this is my hobby.

(Doomguy absorbed the full power and then grabbed Beo by the face as everything around them was surrounded by a powerful cosmic vortex)

Velhallen Beo: NO! MERCY! RELEASE ME!!
Doomguy: I've had mercy...it was unpleaseantly gooey like...well, what's about to come out of you.

(With a yell, Doomguy painfully ripped off Beo's head from his body, spine still attatched and then pulled the head and ripped it in two chunks before smashing the two halves together, smashing them into oblivion. The storm dispelled as Doomguy fell to his knees while Beo's remains turned to ash)

Doomguy: Damn...VEGA, you there?
VEGA: Yes, your vitals are currently volatile but they will calm down shortly.
Doomguy: Good to hear...Let me just lie down.

(Doomguy layed down on his back and sighed. Relieved that the battle was over)
Time to rip and tear until it's done!

I'm guessing that his experience with what mixing the UAC & Hell generally leads to has resulted in him having no patience with those who don't know what they're doing?

Pretty much, especially with his current adventure involving Hayden and his goal of using demonic energy for the benefit of mankind.

Not to mention the bullshit in the 2D era.

Yep. As well as the fuck up in Doom 3 with Malcolm Betruger.

Doom 3 & its expansions are a separate continuity from the 2D games & Doom 4. Technically, Doom 3 should be called Doom 2005 since it’s a remake & not a sequel. I’m pretty sure that that & Doom 4’s status as a sequel to the 2D games is why the fans call it Doom 4 instead of Doom 2016.

Eh, the story's interpretation varies from fan to fan. John Romero (or Carmack, I can't remember which) said that to "Portray the man, portray the story."

For me, this means that the Doomguy from Doom 3 is the same guy from Doom 1 & 2 as well as the same Doomguy who chose to stay behind in the end of Doom 64, leading up to Doom 4 or Doom 2016.

BTW, did you see the trailer for Doom Eternal?

I’m pretty sure that the “Doom 3 being a separate continuity” thing is still canon. It has been confirmed that the “Doomguy is descended from BJ” thing is canon by Carmack & Romero.

By the ID Shared Universe standards (linking their various games from Wolfenstein to Commander Keen to Doom), but again, different fans can pretty much have their own spin on the story.

You bet your ass I love it! Although I kinda expected him to dual wield his BFG 9000 with the Unmaker from Doom 64, but that would've been a wee bit too much overkill for anyone else to be on the receiving end.

Yeah, plus, the Unmaker wouldn't do much good against most of the cast

True, it only works on demons and such (like possessed individuals) although that might be because the only enemies Doomguy gets to use it on were demons and the like. We don't really know what happens if a non-demon gets hit by the Unmaker. BTW, I think this fits Doomguy a bit more than the Imp's Song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJLPl7…

I heard that in general, the amount of demonic energy in the victim plays into how much damage getting hit by it does. Pure demons & biomechanical demons get hurt a lot, possessed humans get hurt very little.

In terms of how the Unmaker damages things? OK then. That might play into account lore-wise I guess. Then again, he can just rip and tear everything in case the Unmaker doesn't work.

Bear in mind that the Unmaker is actually based on a weapon that was cut from the original game. It wasn’t used until Doom 64.

I know. Originally, I thought that thing was effective against anything. It wasn't until I delved in deeper into the lore that I realized that, apart from being a laser-eraser towards demonkind, it is rather useless against non-demonic entities.

My head-canon (which generally incorporates a lot of cut material otherwise) has the Unmaker’s very existence to begin with being the result of the legions feeling a need to punish the morons among their own ranks.

I assume he's using the DS-117 (Combat Shotgun) in his Shot gun special.
