My nickname Beren gives credit to my favourite author, J.R.R. Tolkien, whose work I admire above all things. The story of Beren and Lúthien in his "Silmarillion" still moves me very much. But yet another aspect drove me to choose this name. I'm - obviously - very much addicted to foxes, and the fox cub Bold from Colin Dann's "The Animals of Farthing Wood" happened to become a part of my life long years ago. It's lucky chance that the elvish translation of "bold" of all things is "beren". I'm proud of this nickname, covering so many facets precious to me.
