BIOGRAPHY:
Being one of the most advanced races in the universe, the Kryptonians have been seen as a target by most other alien races that exist, including the Martians, the Thanagarians, and the Rannians. The planet is mainly controlled by a (by human standards) democratic government, which is seen through the House of El. The second eldest son of the El family, Jor-El, was a student at the time of the war. The war that destroyed their planet.
It was an idyllic world, until the invasion of parasitic aliens that consumed the minds of the humanoid populace and the world was left vulnerable to attack. A 16 year old Jor-El and his infant cousin, Kara-El, launched themselves from the planet in a small ship designed by Jor-El's father just as it was destroyed by S’Tar-Ro, the Master of the Parasites.
Jor-El and his cousin drifted for about a year lifeless until it crash landed on Earth. They survived the crash, and were left to wander the Kansas fields at night until Jor-El collapsed and was found by a young farm girl named Martha Harper. Jor-El, quickly learning English from hearing her speak, explained his situation to her. She thought he was crazy and started calling the police, out of concern for the baby girl, but when Jor-El stepped outside during the day, and he started to fly from exposure to the light of the yellow sun that Earth orbits. Martha realized that he was telling the truth and agreed to keep it secret.
Martha and her parents, Sam and Molly Harper, helped Jor-El and his cousin craft the identities of Jonathon and Kara Kent, a farmer that just moved to Overland Park, KS whose parents were killed a few years prior. They stay at the farm with the Harper's, until the day they are attacked.
Three years after the crash, on just another day on their farm, the family was attacked by a man speaking Kryptonian calling himself Asha Del-Nar Dru-Zod, member of the Kryptonian Military Guild. In the attack, their farm is saved, but at the cost of Sam's life, who dies of a heart attack. Molly moves into the big city, New York City, leaving the farm to Jon and Martha. Their relationship turns to intimacy, and later marriage. They later had a son they named Clark Kent; John wanted his son to appreciate his Kryptonian heritage, so he was secretly named Kal-El.
Years later, Dru-Zod escaped from custody and attacked New York City, trying to get Jor-El out in public. He realized the danger, but knew if he revealed his powers, his family could be threatened. Martha gave him his Kryptonian clothing, which was now adorned with an edited symbol for "hope", making it an "S", revealing that she figured the world would one day need his abilities. Using the power of flight, Jor-El sped towards the flight path of Dru-Zod, and after a dangerous battle with zero casualties, he stopped Zod. Jonathon Kent swore his allegiance to the United States Government under the codename... Superman!

MICROS:
* Jon in his Kryptonian getup. Jon was launched from Krypton when he was 16, and landed when he was 17. The suit helped keep him alive while finding his way to Earth. Yes, I based it on Star Wars.
* Jon in his civilian garb as a teenager. This was his get up for when Jor-El first gains the new name Jonathon Kent.
* Jon in his civilian garb as an adult. Here he is getting more of the Clark Kent look.
* Jon in his Kryptonian Superman costume. The symbol for hope on Krypton is actually the same as the letter "S", an '8' in the usual shield. When Martha finds it, she draws on those two little lines, making it an English "S".
* Jon in his Superman getup. The suit is actually a government created suit. Its a dark blue jacket with the S shield, pants and boots. He also has a pin on the chest of the jacket, which is the symbol for "Journey".

* The destroyer of Krypton, S'Tar-Ro, is the same one who attacks Earth in 2013, which brings together the Justice League.
* I originally planned to make Superman a government project to create an American super-soldier (kinda like Captain America) but I decided to go back to Sup's alien roots, but with a big twist.
** In my universe, Kryptonians are ACTUALLY originally part of an ancient human empire founded during Earth's Ice Age. They underwent their own industrial revolution and reached technologies far beyond our own. Unfortunately, infighting and the Ice Age meant that this technology never left the empire, and when it did it caused massive disasters among less advanced peoples. Feeling that the less advanced and more advanced people would not survive in the same world, the advanced humans left to populate on a newer world, later to be known as Krypton (named after the element which fueled their ships).
* Dru-Zod's ranking, Asha Del-Nar, is Krypton's equivalent to a military general.
