I'm a programmer and musician; I live in Chicago with my wife, kids, and cats, and work as a software engineer at Google. My friends tease me that I "collect hobbies": doing morse code on the ham radio, playing bluegrass banjo, authoring interactive fiction, writing musical theater, doing semi-professional photography. As of late, I'm learning slowly and pathetically how to sketch and draw on paper, working through the famous "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". I figured deviantart would be a nice place to document my tortured journey.
