The Flesh and Acrylic project started in 2011. Ben Heine creates abstract acrylic paintings on large wooden panels. In the finished work it is at first difficult to distinguish where the human figure ends and the “background pattern” begins, because both merge into a surreal abstract representation. He takes photos of the final composition for later printing and display.
