It's cool how you show your steps to completing this. I love the detail on your scketch. Being an artist myself, I know how long it takes and how hard it is to draw a self portrait; and sitting on the page really helps bring the picture to life. The attire that the skecth wears if well detailed and gives it more of a realistic touch, the shading helped a lot too. I don't see anything that could be fixed or changed, and I honestly think that giving this picture a background would take the eye away from the main focus, but it wouldn't look bad if you had decided to. (Can you do backgrounds?) Have you done any pictures in color?
