I'm not sure what the idea is (I can't read the minds of other people) but what I see indicates that there is a pretty interesting idea.

I'm sure that very realistic drawings of "someone drawing simple stick figures" are not uncommon but this piece buts a new spin to that idea/situation.

I love the technique because when people start to learn art, they take themselves too seriously and avoid hard lines. The hard line of the simplistic drawing on the wall contrasts deeply with the realistic shading on the head and upper arm. I'm not sure if this was a work in progress but the effect would've been at full force if there was some kind of fade from the head in realistic shading to hard lines (so that the shirt at the neck and should would have some limited value as well).

This makes the piece have more freedom and flexibility, which I enjoy in art. While this isn't a comical piece, I like the fact that things aren't taking so seriously as it can it older forms of art.
