NEW: Prints now available!

This is the second part of a project I worked on 2 weeks ago. I know, it looks wild... but she is still alive! :)

Many thanks to DeviantArt for featuring it on their Tumblr (so proud to say that this is their best Tumblr post so far!)

The model is Caroline Madison: :iconcarolinemadison:, a great and hard working person.

Please see below the first part, some details and the work in progress.

(Update: I've finally changed the picture, I prefer this one, because we see her whole body. The previous one will be added in the "Extra pictures" set)

The above photo has been shot with the Samsung NX11, provided by Samsung Electronics. Co., Ltd.

To be honest, this picture is perfect. Impact is amazing. This is good, Technique, Even though it looks splattered, It's almost like you painted each mixed color stroke by stroke. Visual, this picture made my eyes EXPLODE and scream "Good! Good! Good!" But the thing I'm concerned about is the originality. This is the EXACT same background, and when compared with your other art, it isn't very original. The picture and painting quality is amazing and deserves its own five star section for that matter. Overall, I rate 4 stars. I really hope to see your next one and review it!

Ben, I’m going to be honest with you and tell you that your art style is not my area of expertise. In that sense, I couldn’t logically point out flaws since I wouldn’t know what to look for. However, I do hope you don’t mind me using the critique space to give you a in depth “good” critique on what I love about this piece and what I think the possible meaning could be.

Your unique use of multimedia really stands out to me. I’m really digging how this piece is a combination of photography, abstract splatter painting, and body paint. After viewing your gallery, it’s evident that combining medias is definitely your talent. I’d love to show the WIP of this to those who say that abstract painting and body art is not true art. Once they see the care, dedication, and painstaking process both the artist and model have to go through to create a piece like this, I think they’d think otherwise. The colors chosen create a vivid effect that makes one want to click the thumbnail. (And besides, darker hues would probably look bad on a piece like this.) The white splatters help break up the static space and give a wild effect to the picture. The horizontal lines lead one’s eye to the model (whose trying to be a chameleon). When I see the girl’s relaxed expression against the color explosion around her, it makes me think. How can she be so calm when the rainbow has just exploded all over her? It makes me think that perhaps, in a deeper sense, that the explosion was in fact created by the girl. Maybe the splattered colors represent her soul and how she is trying to break free from static society (which could be indicated by the horizontal lines). That is the meaning I’ve gathered from this piece.

Sir, you are very inspiring to a simple seventeen year old girl. It’s inspiring to see someone like you on DeviantART. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/> I hope you don’t mind me watching you.
