When you first started this style of art, which I think is brilliant, I noticed that the pieces of paper you used were quite a lot smaller and not so much 'in your face' as it seems to me these days.
At the moment in this picture my eye is drawn straight to the drawings on paper rather than the 'whole' picture.
I hate to criticize your work because as I said I am a fan.
IF you go back and look at your old work you will see what I mean.
I think you also used to use a different color paper not white, which I don't feel works so well.

i have a question. when you take pictures of people, do you always ask them first?

I love this work! Can I use this photo in my blog at zazani.info while talking about teaching students? With attribution of course!

your style is wicked :D great idea you had to superimpose an imaginary drawing to an actual photography. hand has much to do, well done ;)

Knowledge is wisdom tempered by time, Wisdom is the journey of enlightenment through suffering, enlightenment is the door of one and the end of two.

If it were me I'd teach this in school - Teach a mind to teach not who to be taught!

Sorry I forgot to add - 'Teacher + Student = Lesson' is backwards it should read: Lesson = Student + Teacher

One definition fosters: a reprimand or punishment intended to correct
The other fosters: Wisdom

Incredible, just wondering. Did you take a picture of a blank piece of paper, then draw over it when you have the cavas set out with the background? Amazing work.

These pics are all really cool, but was the background photoshopped? The kids don't have shadows...

Great piece Ben! It almost looks like the children closest to your hand are barely touching the ground.....enlightenment?

Great concept. I was going to mention the paper being slightly off, but it seems other people have already mentioned it. I really enjoy how you laid out the subjects on the paper as well.

Oh now that is certainly clever. The subject matter portrays a certain "look here and learn" Sort of thought at first glance. The hair styles in the in the pencil I adore. They lend reality to the piece. The words floating outside of the bubbles are also well placed. I don't think they would fit in the bubbles. It's good to only have once word as the mainstay of the piece I think. Hmm Great I like it.
