Winds Of Time oh those winds of time carry me along within their embrace, back to another time through all the doorways of my life until it lays softly whispering in my ear to the gentle rhythm of a mother's hand upon the cradle, rocking slowly forward an' back rock, rock, whisper, whisper, telling to me "from here you came, never forget"

Eternal Darkness when you're staying way out beyond the edge of town out where those bright lights never ever shine do you ever sit in memory, allowing your thoughts to travel back to the time that you were mine? do you think about our beginning, special moments back in times of youthful sunshine an' uncloudy days or is your mind set against such memories now keeping the end an' anger within your mental haze? do you sit back and listen to the old songs those that we once enjoyed deep within our hearts back when we were joined, heart and soul together long before we separated into these distant parts does the darkness hide your pain does it sooth your soul or does yours, like mine have an empty hole the story was never finished we gave up far too soon an' I'll always wonder why we let it fade behind the moon nothing left now but for that bit that dwells there in the darkness the eternal darkness that contains our loneliness

Shine A Light oh wont you shine a light upon me here where I am way out within my darkness I so need the light to bring me back to what I was a flower that could bloom now I feel withered an' neglected my roots are dry, they are dying oh please shine a light upon me before this gloom becomes my doom shine a light upon me wont you

Happiness where does happiness reside? is it to be found somewhere out there or is it only to be found on the inside where could happiness be I look an' look everywhere I go but there is never any for me to see oh happiness you holy grail may you pass by me on the wind so I may catch you in my sail oh happiness hear what I say come to me with haste an' speed so that I may have a happy day oh you elusive emotion

Were We were we born to ride the storm this chaotic thing called life without any preparedness of how to do that were we put here to learn only to cope and endure all that comes at us testing our "self" were we supposed to know the how or the when the time to stay, or the time to go perhaps we were meant to do something else to comfort the sick to help the needy were we meant to be selfish or perhaps to be selfless endeavoring to help our fellow man these are questions that I ponder on

Can You can you, on a soft summer's night allow your mind to wander while your body relaxes can you allow your mind to go beyond yourself out upon the night can you scent the breeze hear the soft rain drops falling upon your abode can you feel far and distant places where things could be exactly how you would desire them can you obtain that peace that feeling of release I so hope you can for with such ability you may find something to fill your soul with harmony

Awaken you may have it ALL today and then loose it ALL tomorrow yet with the coming of another dawn you will awaken and breath in the new day so breath deep the joy of life enduring and regret not your losses many for with life there is living and with living there is fulfilment

Solitary Lullaby when the violin sounds all fade away and the quiet of the night settles down around you where will you be when the darkness spins a dream just to deceive you allowing those momentary thoughts that some things could be when they really may not and the little sounds come in through your open window of rustling leaves and stirring creatures out there somewhere in darkness how will you feel when you sit watching for the dawn yearning to see the light once more while the night yet clings to the sky not allowing the morning birds their time what do you think are you ever restless are you full of sorrows or does a promise of other things bring solace to your mind can you tell me of these things do I ponder as the sky fades to black and the winds all lie still allowing the sound of the ticking clock to sing its solitary lullaby

Wild Parisian Nights from Parisian street side café a chance meeting a smile a nod to the back alley dives where cigarette smoke hangs to the floor and the mandolin players wail sadly lost loves remembered and profaned the party continues to the apartments where all night poetry readings ignite with a glimpse of a secret muse's entrance loud voices proclaiming beauty's appeal the spoken word or the written verse impromptu art commingling with wine later authors of much acclaim eating stolen foods out of their pockets poor just to keep their strength up for more of the mad driven lunatic night's fun the roaring times at the end of war giving vent to a rebellious brilliance ferocious mobs of partiers continue their quest for the glimmering bits the shining fire of knowledge and mirth couples falling together entwined stopping mid coitus to spout a reply to some drunken reader of lost poetry crazy nights of nervous energies spent but from this endeavor came their words a multitude of
