An Old Friend
It was high noon by the time Dathan reached a 3-story brick building. The first floor was an old book shop but that was just more for show then anything. What really went on was either in the back of the building and its 2 floor sub-basement down below. As for the second and third floor that was living space for Dathan’s old friend. Good thing this wasn’t really a busy street to begin with, so no one paid much attention to the place. And as dirty as Dathan and his great niece looked from what happed to them earlier no one would want to go near them. Most likely thinking they were homeless and crazy if that.
Dathan went to the side of the building where a small path led to the door that led to the basement. He knocked a few times on it. After waiting a few moments a slot near the top of the door opened and a pair of lavender eyes narrowed down at him.

A Roaring Inferno
Sirens filled the early morning foggy air. As flames ingulfed a factory in a large factory down in the 4th sector of the inner city’s industrial section near the water front. News had spread fast even though the fire had only broken out a few minutes ago. When a man with light wavy brown hair and light lavender eyes, heard the sirens and even watched the police cars wiz by with their own flashing lights and telling people to get out of the way. And to warn were they where going over to the 4th sector of the inner city near the water front.
The man bolted on his own two feet like lighting. Even though he was dead tired from working his own grave yard shift and just getting off he knew from the very core of his fiery being that something was wrong.
