First of all I adore the concept behind this piece, its cute and adorable. It reminds me slightly of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland with the Drink Me potion. The colour are rich and very vivid and I love the contrast on the glass bottle. The background texturing gives a great sense of depth as well. However, I think the blending of the elements could be smoother. Perhaps smudging or re-paiting parts of the glass would give a more realistic texture. As with the droplet, reflection and shadow would have made it an even more distinctive focal point. Even though I love the white birds and watering can, perhaps using a slightly red photo filter would make them blend in with their surroundings a little more. Other than perhaps a more refined technique I love the conecpt and the composition and think it's a truly original piece.
Thank you again! I wait for your critiques and then read them extra slowly! They are undoubtably the best part of submitting a new image for me. Thank you for all the wonderful comments. I am in the process of writing a walkthrough of Come Back to Me on the recommendation of *Eil so hopefully that might shed some light on my workflow. I put some shadows on the model but i knew it is not completely perfect...i need some more practice. But i will keep trying. Thank you again
Thank you so much for your kind comments...you captured exactly whati wanted to achieve. Yes the hand...when i did this i did not know about texturing to cover up or fix those things...its a shame because i my hard drive broke i no longer have the psd to fix it. But aside from that..this piece still remains dear to me and i hope to other people too.
