From the prompts; "I haven't slept in 4 days.." "I'm fine..." "It's just your imagination" and "Don't touch me."
Nike walked into Sasha’s room. There Sasha sat straight up, upon her bed. Her hair was a mess, shirt halfway off her shoulders, and her eyes were heavily bloodshot. As Nike got closer she noticed the girl in front of her had dark bags under her eyes. “Sasha..?” Nike cautioned. She’d seen Sasha in a similar state before but never this bad. Slowly, Sasha blinked her eyes and turned her head in the direction of Nike’s voice. “Oh! Hi..Nike..uh..w-what’s up?” Sasha seemed out of sorts and definitely not usual cheery self. “Sasha, what’s going on? You seem off..” Nike gently placed her hand on Sasha’s cheek. Sasha twitched in response. “I haven’t slept in 4 days Nike…” Sasha murmured, monotonically. “What?!” Nike was astounded. She knew Sasha had trouble sleeping sometimes, but 4 days was a bit much. Seeing Nike’s face fall into worry, Sasha quickly pulled back from her girlfriend’s touch, raised her hands and waved them to show nothing was wrong, “I’m fine…! Really!”
Seeing Nike grow even more worried, she sighed and placed her hands on her lap, “I’ve gone longer without sleeping. It’s really not that big a deal.” Nike sighed and sat next to Sasha. She motioned for her to place her head on her lap. Sasha did as was motioned and seemed to relax. “Sasha, that’s not healthy.” As Sasha began to open her mouth to protest Nike continued speaking, “and I know that the cult had you stay awake for…what did you say? A week?” Sasha huffed in defiance. “But” Nike continued, “You’re not a part of that anymore so you really don’t have an excuse.” Sasha sighed. Nike was right, like always. She really couldn’t think of an excuse for staying up for so long. Sasha shifted her head to look away from her sweetheart. “I..uh..” she started, obviously uncomfortable, “I’ve been seeing things again.” Nike looked down at her, “What sort of things?” “Um..bad..things?” Sasha didn’t want to venture into what things she had seen in the past 4 days. They were borderline unspeakable, and most certainly disturbing. “Sasha, have you been having visions again?” Sasha grimaced. Though her visions had dwindled, she had been having them more frequently. “Maybe..” Nike sighed. Why hadn’t Sasha told her? Nike pondered on that. She couldn’t really do much whenever Sasha had a vision, but she could hold her close and tell her sweet nothings. “I’m sorry..I just didn’t want to bother you..I know you’ve been busy at work.” “Sasha, I could be juggling a million things and you still wouldn’t be bothering me.” Sasha smiled slightly and nuzzled into Nike’s torso. As though it had been waiting for the most inopportune time, Sasha groaned in obvious pain and gripped Nike’s shirt. “Sasha? Are you alright?” In response, Sasha groaned again, louder, and bit her lip. Flashes of fire and brimstone appeared in her vision, as though she were standing in the very pits of Hell. “Shhh, it’s just your imagination..” Nike cooed softly as she smoothed back Sasha’s hair. Sasha hissed between her teeth as Nike attempted to console her. “Don’t…don’t touch me..” Sasha managed to say, as she wriggled to the opposite side of the bed. “Please..” Nike frowned. If she didn’t want to be touched she would do as requested.
As Sasha ran through her vision, Nike stepped quietly into the kitchen. If there was one thing Nike had learned after being with Sasha for so long, it was that she always needed something to eat and drink after a vision. She had also found out that Sasha preferred sweet foods because they “reminded her of Nike”. As she rummaged around in her girlfriends kitchen, Nike heard Sasha groan loudly. Quickly, she grabbed a few cookies and a can of soda. Nike heard the sound of feet shuffling behind her. As she turned around, Sasha placed her head on Nike’s chest and wrapped her arms around her. Nike chuckled and kissed the top of her head. “Your sustenance madam.” Nike said jokingly. Sasha, without lifting her head, reached for the food and drink. “Thank you..” She mumbled into Nike’s shirt. For a few minutes they stood there, in the kitchen. Suddenly Nike scooped her small sweetheart up into her arms and trotted over to the couch. Gently placing Sasha on one side of the couch and sitting on the other Nike smiled playfully. “Do you want me to open that?” She asked, pointing to the can of soda. Sasha cracked it open and took a sip, “No I think I can manage.” “So you’re alright now?” Sasha sighed and shrugged, “I think I’m alright for now.” Nike cautiously leaned in and pecked her cheek. “That doesn’t hurt does it?” “No. Thankfully the whole hellfire feeling ends pretty quickly.” Nike smiled and kissed her again, “Good.”
