Literature Text
I never believed in love till there was her
Always her
I never believed in myself till there was her
Always her
The stars in the sky that I couldn’t reach
From all the way down here in the mud
The beauty that I couldn’t reflect
The coldness in my chest
Thawed out
This beating inside of me
I’d forgotten this feeling
It was her
Always her
Lips soft like sunshine
With gentle eyes that pierced my very being
A gentle heart, accepting and warm
A hand outstretched
Welcoming
Like a summer night with laughter
She smelled like home
I only had this darkness
And I couldn’t see the way
Till there was her
Always her
She doesn’t see it
I only let her see what I want her to see
Because these precious feelings
She could never
Never love a person like me
So I scream into the void
With this newly found heart of mine
Love me, only me
See me, only me
But for her I will keep these feelings in me
Deep down, I’ll fill in all the cracks with her
Always her
But she’ll never know
What I wouldn’t do for her
No matter what I feel
She will always be the light
And it’ll always be her
Always her.
