-`ღ´- Personal Reminder -`ღ´-
I use to watch a ton of different videos and tutorials. I just love them, they inspire me and i wrote some things and ideas down, to overcome any 'creative downs' and to keep them together anywhere.
-`ღ´- Trying to do something new is always uncomfortable!
But you can learn to get used to it. Try out different things. Use different Mediums and Styles. Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone.
-`ღ´- Warm up yourself!
Draw two quick sketches before you start your new, bigger, project. Warm up your muscles, but your mind as well.
-`ღ´- Stalk other Artwork
Let other art inspire you and don't be afraid to use their techniques. It's fine to like other artstyles, just don't copy the whole thing.
-`ღ´- Heavy References
Use the art you like as 'heavy reference' to improve your skills. But -never- claim it as your own. It's /only practice/, but nothing else.
-`ღ´- Crap! x)
If you draw things incorrectly, it's not "your Style". It's crap.
Accept each and every critique. People can be a**holes, but that's not a newsflash. Take it as a challenge, not as an insult -ever-!
You don't need to focus on one style, it's even better to become better in different styles. That way you improve your overall results.
-`ღ´- Find challenges you like
A challenge can give you a goal in a very creative way. Try out to draw one of your drawings in another artists style.
Which artist do you like? Frida Kahlo maybe, Disney, or maybe a dArtist?
Figure out what they do to be remarkable and use their techniques.
-`ღ´- Nothing to draw?
Complete - ALL - your WIP's ... ^^
