The Black Pearl. Pirates Of The Carribean

in all its glory here is the black pearl in honour of johnny depp returning to pirates of the carribean!

Used pencil first, moved onto using fineline black drawing pen and added colour by using charcoal for the sea alongside white soft pastel. Black soft pastel was used on the ship. Yellow and silver acrylic paint was used on the moon/ compass. Blue acrylic paint was used on the sky alongside white and black soft pastel for the clouds. White gel pen used for creating the stars. Grey acrylic paints were used for the black pearls sails.

WIP 1 shows it in pencil version, A3 size mixed media paper size.

WIP 2 shows it in mounted onto A2 sized white card in order to be continued, the ship was too big to fit on the A3 paper. There was too much going on so i thought to put it on bigger paper.
