Polymer Clay Sculpture. Completed piece of Ballet 1 and 4.

Since I'm learning through trial and error, I have to say, this piece did not work! She doesn't stand. :-( But that's okay, because I learned some things that don't work for me. :-)
This was with her hair down.

Well, looking at your other work, you're improving. If anything, I'd say this could make a badass Halloween decoration.
Everyone has their own style and their styles evolve into something new and interesting. As with any other media, you will get better and you will evolve as an artist. I hope to come across your work again one day.

Yes it is! And that's what I love about this site. I've met many artist who have allowed me to pick their brains. Many of them I consider friends:heart:

Yeah I know its awesome for that, especially as I know very few artists in person (actually none who like to do what I do:))... MOST people here are wonderfully supportive ..lol

This is frightening.
beans330's avatar
Why? I was going for a realistic look. Didn't want to scare anyone. :-(

The eyes, mostly. They're huge, buggy, and yellow. Also the lips look very swollen and the nose looks smashed.
My advice is to maybe perfect the anatomy and scale of the human face by drawing it over and over again first, then try to sculpt it. Like you said in your artist's comments, it's trial and error.

Regarding the yellow eyes... that was a consequence of the green eye color.

The error I referred to was her not being able to stand. :-)

Also, I wanted a realistic and human look to her, not a Barbie-look :D
