A brief synopsis of the story so far:
A mysterious figure was spotted before Starfall placing strange stones around Prism Vale. Thanks to the efforts of the Azul Defenders, the stones were collected and Starfall Faire was able to held. Unfortunately, the stones that the Defenders collected were analyzed by the Order of Affinity, and were found to be holding dew essence just before they burst! Plant creatures and an onslaught of dew rain flooded Prism Vale and caused total chaos. Buildings were knocked over, communities were in crisis, and Beanlings were seeking shelter wherever they could find it. The Queen rallied the Azul Defenders after receiving word that the mysterious figure was none other than the King of the Blightlings, and would likely be marching towards Prism Vale. Princess Twila gives a Holiday Address:
Hello once again, dear citizens of Prism Vale! As I'm sure you've noticed, the strange plant creatures that have been attacking us in a frenzy have calmed, and the dew rain has finally stopped! As you also know, the holidays are right around the corner! While we're usually filled with holiday cheer this time of year, I am afraid that many of you may find yourself lacking in holiday spirit.
It seems that all of the events of the past months have left many of you without a place to call home this year. With this in mind, the palace of Versii will not be hosting a ball this year, but will be opening its doors to all of those who find themselves without a home for the holidays. While many of us will not be spending time celebrating in the traditional way, we urge you to spread the love and wonder of the season with your fellow beings by taking part in our building effort, Homes for the Holidays!
I'm very excited to personally help with construction, and to rebuild both our communities and my relationships with old friends! I'm also very excited to meet some of the new faces that have been appearing around Prism Vale during these chaotic months. I would encourage you all to give a warm welcome to our new Blightling friends and show them that they are welcome. I have full faith that together, we can bring each other warmth and hope this winter!
Hi guys! As some of you know, things have been particularly hard lately for a lot of the people that keep our group running. Having said that, we are not going to be holding a major event for Christmas with lots of assets and adopts, and are instead going to take some time to rest and recover. In the meantime, there are still a few things you can do during the holiday season in the group!
As always, there will be a monthly prompt, the freestyle monthly, guild prompts, and questing. We will also be holding a few more discord games than usual with in-game prizes. Finally, we are opening up Blightling Myo's and Beanling to Blightling conversions, as well as cross traits!
Blightling Myos and Conversions
Blightling MYOs will work essentially the same as Beanling MYOs do now. In order to create an MYO Blightling, you will need an MYO Token and a Mysterious Stone! You may then create a blightling with any blightling traits in and below the trait tier of your MYO Token.
Converting your Beanling into a Blightling is a little more complicated, and cannot be reversed. In order to convert your beanling, you will need to submit a design update that has a Mysterious Stone attached and your character's new Blightling design. Converted beanlings may keep no more than five of their beanling and flowerling exclusive traits. These traits will become cross traits. Their ribbons will need to be converted to tags, and they will need to have a corruption core and seal on their tag. If you are adding any new blightling mutations while converting, you will need need to attach potions for them. However, if you are turning a beanling mutation in to a blightling mutation of an equal or lowertrait tier, it is free.
With the introduction of blightlings, there has been an influx of new traits. I understand that this may be a little overwhelming! Fortunately, our wonderful mod @Spottednova
has created a fantastic visual guide for which traits can be used by which species and stage of growth!
As you can see, some traits are exclusive to blightlings, and some are exclusive to beanlings, and the same with witherling and flowerling traits. If you would like to apply a beanling trait that is normally exclusive to beanlings to a blightling, you are able to apply it as a cross trait. This is similar to how some beanlings can have abnormal flowerling traits. To give your beanling or blightling a cross trait, you must have a potion of the trait's rarity and a void fragment. You can then attach them to a design update as usual. Characters may have no more than 5 cross traits.
We hope to add this information to the website in future, but you all know how that goes, so for the moment, please refer to this bulletin! In other news, it seems that all of the beanlings who were born with the Dew Blessed status have grown to about twice the size of regular beanlings . . .
