Beneath the strata of the Zagros Mountains, a space where the air had long been pressed and left behind. Isarun did nothing for a while. What stood before him was less a form, more a state that had stopped. A head shaped like a stag’s skull. Oxidized bronze. It had not aged. It had never flowed. He raised his hand, but did not touch it immediately. He looked at the surface. It was not uniform. Metal, yet not worn—layered. Not strata, but time itself compressed and fixed. “…It never broke.” Barely a whisper. Only then did Isarun move his hand. Lightly, onto the Arantium surface. At the moment of contact— Nothing. No cold. No warmth. Not even the sensation of touch. A pause. Then— The depth of the cavern shifted. Dust fell, then lost its direction. Distances between walls slid, slightly out of place. Isarun did not withdraw his hand. Nothing had “happened.” Instead, Something overlapped. Another structure bled into the cavern. It did not replace it. It did not cover it. Both
