Chinese New Year 2012

I feel like this would look so much better in traditional art but I wouldn't be able to get the right colors. though i don't really think these are the right colors either... they seem a little too saturated? *eye cancer*

Happy Chinese New Year (in advanced) everyone, if you celebrate it, I hope you get lots of red packets~! I actually wanted to get this printed and send it as a postcard to my awesome friends but I didn't finish it in time for mailing ;n;

And marvel at my Chinese scrawl; my chinese notebook looks horrifying according to many of my classmates; its like its covered in ancient chinese curses scrawled all over. Funnily enough, i won an award for Chinese calligraphy once.
