Honestly this is far beyond impact. Great shot, The temperature and tone are good so far. The rain bokeh is amazing, the colour really stands out much, its all good. Now for the hard part, I really think you should have gotten in much more close up on the rose but it depends on what kind of lens you had so I'll let it be. Its hard to tell which part light is coming from more but I would suggest that you find an angle where less light can interfere with the reflection of the rose on the ground. Thats about it, and oh that leaf on the right hand side should have been in focus I would say, I think it would have add some more impact! But besides all that its amazing! Keep it up. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
I would be interested to play around with it and post the results if you would let me. I often combine my design, editing and writing skills and this looks like so much fun to play with. Thanks either way for posting this lovely rose.
I always look at photographs for how they can be combined with text. I can see a ice headline on this and the beginnings of a story in a magazine. It would make a nice opening to a story on nature, rain, roses ... so many things.
i love this picture because i can completely imagine a million stories of a rose left in the rain. left on a doorstep, or abandoned in a fit of jealousy? is the rose waiting for someone who will never come?
Your photos are so beautiful, I don't know if you know this but there are people taking your photos and putting them in a wallpaper app for iPhones for anybody to take. If you want I can get the name of the apps and report it back to you.
