Huge old book , with clasps

This large book, about a metre (36 inches) high, was in the lounge in the Celestine Hotel in Tokyo. It is a fac-simile of an old book. You can see also the binding, and other shots, in other photographs here.

It is sitting on a couch here so that I could photograph it; you will probably want to cut it out (don't forget to feather the selection by 5 pixels or so before doing the cut) and paste it perhaps in the background of something else.

It is leather-bound with brass corners, and it is held
closed with brass clasps (which are actually open in
this photograph). So, although it is actually a modern fac-simile, you could use it as an antiquarian book, or for that matter a prayer book, bible or even a wizard's spell-book or book of shadows.

Use the Download link for the full-sized image

I can also let you have the original image if you like, which is twice as large on each side. Or the raw-format photograph.

This is *barefootliam's royalty-free stock account.

You can use the images here in any work on DeviantArt (including prints) without needing any permission or paying any fee; I ask that you let me know when you use a piece so I can link back to it.

You can use the pieces non-commercially for any purpose whatsoever; again I'd like a link back if possible.

You can use the pieces commercially, but in this case you must send me a copy of the finished work, and the cost is that you must go entirely barefoot for a day, i.e. all the time for 24 consecutive hours. OK, I'm weird. Live with it.
