Description

Martin Septim is the main NPC in the game Oblivion. You may be wondering how come I've uploaded a collage of screenshots and called it "art". Well, Oblivion was released in 2006 and it's ugly. Really ugly. You have been warned ugly. However, Martin is an absolutely adorable man - brave, intelligent, and voiced by Sean Bean - and his fans picture him entirely differently from the orange, potato-headed creature in the 2006 game.

So as soon as I got hold of the Elder Scrolls Online beta, I started trying to recreate Martin. It took me about three hours to create him the first time, but I knew that our beta characters were going to be wiped at the end of the trial period. So I took meticulous screenshots, and it "only" took about half an hour to create him again as my first official ESO character. Then it took me several months of levelling to get to the point where he could use this particular set of armour. It's a mixture of Imperial and Breton styles, dyed to resemble Martin's utterly hideous Emperor's armour from Oblivion - only golden, rather than YELLOW.

My Martin is a Sorcerer and member of the Mages Guild who uses primarily Lightning magic with an Ice Destruction staff (the only way I could get him to specialise in Ice magic, since it isn't part of any class abilities). He is Level 50 in Alchemy, Enchanting, and Provisioning (and levelled Enchanting well before Zenimax made it easier), and is currently Veteran Rank 4 overall.
