I love the monochrome-color contrast here, as well as the fact that you went outside of the borders. They're both things I always really like in art ^^

Thank you so much!
I like drawings that go beyond the border like that, but with traditional art, they're often a pain to clean up^^;

This is a beautiful design!!  I love the colors you used, and how the bird's wings are outside of the border - expressing freedom and flight!  Love

This is so well done! The contrast between the bird and the background is lovely. The circle looks like it got wood texture inside it which is really cool and those flowers are so pretty in that lovely shade of pink Heart

Markers and I don't really get along too well ^^; but it was fun working with them, and I'm very happy to hear the thing turned out well in the end! :D

XP)

*Free Icon/Emote* Molang (I Love It!)  Oh my so lovely! I really really love this one. the delicate and fragile details/shading.  rvmp
And the flowers look really pretty as well in the nouveau look, it's kind of a contrast to the details in the swift. Love
I also like the prismacolor markers and they almost look like my markers from winsor and newton. :lovetard:

Ahhh thank you so much!
Doing the crosshatch shading on the (wings and tail of the) bird was interesting, as it's not a type of shading that comes naturally to me, but it was good exercise and interesting (albeit time-consuming) to do.

How do you like your markers? What I don't like about the Prismacolors is that, if you want a darker shade of a color, you need to buy another marker, because they don't get darker when you layer them on. So, like, they sell Cool Gray 20%, Cool Gray 40%, Cool Gray 60%...

You're welcome! :D
That's true it looks really time-consuming, but it was worth it! La la la la

I really like my markers! For me it's easier to work with them than those copic markers, and I chose to stick with the markers I could buy in Norway, so yeah. The only thing I dislike is that they are alcohol-based. xD That can be pretty intense in the beginning but when you draw with them for a while it's okay I guess. xD Hm, let me think about it, it's been a while since I used them. But if I remember correctly it's pretty okay and easy to blend one color or use one shade and make darker shades with this one color. They got these Cool Gray and Warm Gray markers as well, I think both cool and warm gray has 5 different shades or something. But if I remember correctly gray is the only shade they got those cool and warm colors for, everything else can be layered on and gets darker. :) (Pretty sure the gray does it as well, it's just that they wanted to give you 5 or 10 different shades so you can choose between more grays, because both cool 1 and warm 1 are pretty pale, so you need to layer them like crazy to see that it's some kind of gray. xDD

Oh, how are Promarkers different from Copics (while using them)?
Intense, the smell, you mean? XD Yeah, the Prismacolors are alcohol-based, too, and the smell is pretty strong; I can't use them with the windows shut.

I like the colors and te way of using Promarkers better as well as how they lay down on the paper. And I like the small tip better.I know others might say the «flexible» brush like tip the Copic Markers have is better, but I’m miserable at using them so, for me the small tip on the Promarks is better! And that you can buy an «adapter» to get a finliner tip. :) otherwise I’m pretty sure they work the same, you just need to get used to it.

Hahaha yeah! The intense smell, in the beginning I find it overwhelming, but after 30min I always get used to it xD In summer I have the windows open as well, but in the winter I just deal with the «alcoholic marker cloud» around me xD lol

Oh I didn't know you could get an adapter to turn them into a fineliner; that's neat! I knew that with Copics, you can turn them into an airbrush, but I didn't know Promarkers did this other thing.

Oh no! That alcoholic marker cloud! XD

The finliner tips are gold! sta.sh/21k1plw71mtl some (bad) photos on how they look! I actually bought them by "accident" xD (a happy accident as Bob Ross used to say, haha). But I'm glad I did. I only used the black one (how creative) but I always wanted to get one for every skin color marker I had to draw the lines or other colored lines, haha.
Uuuh, yeah I heard that as well, that can turn Copics into airbrush, but I was kind of more surprised that you can turn Promakers into finliners, hahaha. That kind of idea never crossed my mind, lol. xDD

XDDDD hahahahaha.... what a cute emoji! And I wish I could draw the picture I have in my head when I think of things like "alcoholic marker cloud" LOL XD

And the effect shows, that you enjoyed it <3 art that is beautiful like this is warming up my heart .///.
Flowers bought me entirely, co delicate yet such an eyecandy at this drawing, that I can't stop staring at them. I love the outcome of mixing so many different pens and watercolors, it's really impressive ♥

Ah, and on the other hand, now that I see it... How do you like the Micron pen? I was thinking of buying some for myself and I wonder if its worthy. I'd be so grateful for your help!

What a lovely comment! la in love Thank you so much! Lovely Shoujo Emoji (Huggy Hug) [V2]
Glad the mixing of media came out looking well. I was like, "Oh, shoot! I don't have green markers! ... Oh, shoot! The pink isn't getting any darker!" So I had to bring out the watercolors.

Oh, I TOTALLY recommend the Micron pens! I bought these over 10 years ago (I don't ink that much anymore, vs back when I bought them, so there was a large chunk of time where I didn't use them). They're waterproof, so you can use them under your painting without risk of bleeding. They don't bloom over time (I have drawings from over a decade ago and the black lines are still intact, which is more than I can say for the Prismacolor marker marks). The tip is sturdy so that it doesn't flatten out with use (but I am very careful with my supplies anyway), but soft when drawing - it never skips. Additionally, they come in a variety of sizes so you can play with line weight more easily. And yes, they have excellent shelf-life; they work just as well ow as they did back then. ;)

I haven't tried these other types, but I've seen that they also now come in more colors and with a brush tip, too, so you do have that choice now.
