My last journal was from almost two years ago. It starts with "well it's been almost two years since I last posted here". Apparently people are still finding me and my old artwork! Out of boredom I poked my head into DA to see how it was going, considering I haven't really been here for four years, only to discover I'm coming close to 100,000. I think the last time I really looked I was somewhere in the 50,000 range? So...If people are still looking at this dusty old gallery, maybe I should start adding some new artwork to it :/

So almost two years ago I posted that I'd be going on a hiatus from DA. I signed in today for the first time in...uhhh... I don't even know how long, to 1,000+ messages, 3,000+ new deviations and 600+ watch notifications. I'm thinking I'm just going to leave those there. I went from buying a bookstore to owning a toy store to being the vice chair on the BIA and running several events and more in town. I haven't taught an art class in over a year and I've turned down I don't even know how many requests. Even the clients I used to love drawing for I've been saying no to because, really, I could already use a couple dozen more hours in the day.

Hey guys, Not that my page is overly popular to begin with -har har- but I figured I'd let y'all know that I've already found myself on an unintentional hiatus. I bought a store earlier this week and suddenly - WHOOSH! - everything is flying past me and I've made more phone calls, started more accounts, and signed my name more times than I can remember. Buying a business is *so* much harder than buying houses. But thanks to all this hard work, as of this coming Saturday I will be the new owner of what used to be the Cariboo Book Bin and is now 1st Editions: Books and More! http://1st-editions.ca/ I cannot wait for my merchandise to start
