Before they joined the Rust Syndicate, Kasasagi and Suzuha originally lived in Japan, and were originally part of two different clans that originally lived in the Nagano Prefecture, with Kasasagi living in a clan of aosagibis called Aosagiha Clan while Suzuha lived in a clan of tsuru nyobos called Moonweave Tsuru Clan, which is led by her single mother Sana. The two met when they were 13 years old, when Kasasagi was struck by lightning and crash landed near the Moonweave Tsuru territory. Fortunately, that was witnessed by Suzuha, who immediately flew to help him, and although he wasn't badly hurt, he still hurt his wing, so she brought him to the clan's healer, who bandaged up his wing and had him stay at the clan until he was healed enough to go back to his own, with Sana also sending a clan's messenger to Aosagiha Clan to let Kasasagi's parents know where their son is so they wouldn't be worried. Their father is a no-show, so their mother had to take it upon herself to leave the trailer everyday to look for food to her two sons, and she would be often going to dumpsters looking for scraps. One day, Perrito's mother left to look for food as usual, but never came back home. And Perrito, being the oldest between the two, found it on his shoulders to take care of himself and his brother.
