America's Future by Balddog4 America's Future by Balddog4
Some people are ignorant to where things are heading in this country. I wish I could say that things are going to get better here soon. Unfortunately things are going to get worst, before they get better. How do I know this? Well in the last two weeks we had two major police shootings. One in Dallas and another one in Baton Rouge. And just recently a Kansas police officer was killed while looking for a drive by shooter. These are just some examples of how things are going down hill fast. not only that but in California Obamacare prices are rising 13 percent. Now I don't know about you but I find this both funny and ironic. It's funny because I knew something like that was going to happen. And it's ironic because now people who have Obamacare are now paying more for healthcare. It looks like Obama manage to screw his supporters.

And it's not just America. Things everywhere are going to be long and dark. France last week had to deal with a terrorist attack with a semi. But there is hope. If we all would band together and work together than we will be able to stop things like our economy from collapsing. But only if we band together. If not it'll be hard for us all.

What scares me is heard this type of rehtoric before: In the 1850's and just before the civil war. Read Gods and Generals by Jeff Shaara and you will see that it is copy and paste for today, just put in today's issues. Do we need 600,000 dead bodies on our soil? They say 2% of the population was killed, with today's population that would be: 6.5 MILLION PEOPLE. Let that sink in 6.5 MILLION DEAD PEOPLE IN YOUR OWN BACK YARDS. If we don't reel it in, that is what we face.

Well, if you really want to keep the economy from collapsing, it would help if certain people would stop deciding that the last 80 years of economic history never happened just because you can't deal with a black man being President.  It's like you ripped out the plane's engine midflight and tried to replace it with your own special perpetual motion machine because you're pissed at the pilot.  If you crash the plane, you go down with the rest of us.

You know the fact that you keep pulling out the race card is super pathetic. Come back when you are done crying out racist every single time someone says something you don't agree on.

(Shrugs)  Don't blame me if you're too scared to be honest about the state of race relations in the US.  We have people saying and doing overtly, blatantly racist things in American public life and if anyone criticizes them you cry about the race card?  Yeah, that's not pathetic at all.

One, have you ever heard me say anything racist about anyone at all? The answer is no. There is no race card being played here except by you. For you think just because someone dislike what a black person did they are immediately racist. I have never meet a more racist person than you.

And have you ever heard me say that I have some sort of telepathic line to what's in your heart?  All I know about you is what you say here.  We all have our own reasons for what we do.  But in the context of politics and public policy what's in your heart is of only secondary importance.  What really matters is what you say and do.  And there are certain topics that once you bring them up you really can't avoid talking about race.  At least if you're being honest about it.  The extremist opposition to President Obama is very high on that list.  We've had the opposition acting in a way that is frankly bizarre and not at all self consistent.  You have people conducting scorched earth opposition to Obama policies and citing reasons that are obvious fiction.  (I mean, death panels?  Really?)  Or look at the whole birther thing - that kept going for years when it was obvious pretty much from the start that it was nonsense.  (As Romney said, it wouldn't matter even if Obama had been born in Kenya, since his mother was a US citizen that makes him a natural born citizen.)  You have Obama opponents advocating policies that are completely crazy.  The idea that cutting spending would help the economy was so utterly disproven by the recession of 1937 that no one so much as uttered the words - until 2009.  You have Tea Partiers campaigning for a balanced budget because if we don't address the deficit it could force the government into default.  And as soon as they get into office they try to force the government into default just because they can.

If you have a rational explanation for all of this that doesn't involve personal hatred of Obama rooted in race, please share.  Because I have yet to hear of one.

And no, this is not about principled opposition to Obama.  It's about completely cray-cray opposition.  Principled opposition is at least relatively self consistent.  Principled opposition does not automatically adopt whatever the opposite policy is of what the President wants to do, even when that means adopting a policy that makes no sense and relies on theories that were completely discredited a century ago.  And principled opposition is willing to work on good faith compromises.  The Tea Party is not principled opposition and never was.

That does not mean that everyone who dislikes Obama or supports the Tea Party is a white supremacist who harbors a burning hatred of black people.  Just like not everyone who fought for independence from Britain during the American Revolution cared at all about British tax policy.  Like I said, people have all kinds of reasons for what they do.  But just like you can clearly say that taxes were one of the main root causes of the conflict in 1776, it's also quite clear that race is one of the main root causes of the conflict now.

Not to mention Hillary and Trump are running against each other.  Damned if you do, damned if you don't.  Have fun with those two psychopaths.

Only upside to Trump is that he isn't a leftist con-artist.

Leftist; of course not.  Con-artist; debatable.  Although I agree Trump is the lesser of two evils, he's still an evil.  Both of them are powder kegs I wouldn't want in my house.

If he wins we'll see by next summer what kind of person he really is.

Even in business people want instant change when a company is under new management.

The problem is that we are still under the old management and, if Hillary wins, nothing at all will change with the direction things have been heading into for almost a decade already.

As the old saying goes, "It's Darkest Before the Dawn".
Things will get better, we as a people must keep that close in our hearts and minds. It will take time before we see it, indeed some of us will not see it in our lifetimes, some may have to make the great sacrifice to make it happen, but things will get better.
