Spirou and Spip by BakanoHealthy Spirou and Spip by BakanoHealthy
I had a lot of moments when I went "I haven't read a lot of Western comics, really" and then "--wait."

Belgian and French comics were never a big thing in Vietnam (French children books were more successful, because of elders' "comics are harmful" mentality - oh what do they know about Titeuf), but I've learnt French since I was six, and so I've been far more interested in French and Belgian comics than any of my siblings and cousins. Shame on me for starting with manga anyway - where are your French spirit, you!

Spirou is almost nonexistent in Vietnam, and that sucks, 'cause it's beautiful and well-written. I've had like, three chances of seeing the red-headed boy around. And I have nothing but the most basic knowledge on Internet until grade 8, so recently I have been trying to get my childhood heroes back by my side, and there's Spirou. God I'm in love.

(also just found a place where they keep the full collection of Tintin comics - now you know what I've been up to.)

Drawn with a bunch of malfunctioning lineart pens and watercolor.
