Here is my contribution to the Shinjeki no Kyoujin fandom: The military branch emblems! From the left we have: The Military Police, The Scouting Legion, The Trainee Corps, and the Garrison.

Everything is modeled from scratch by myself in maya 2014, rendered in Keyshot 4, and composited in Photoshop CS6. I did 5 passes, including an AO pass and Silver pass(which im not sure if thats a things, but i like the results!)

Remember, this is fanart, Im not trying to infringe on the rights of AoT or its owners, etc. Just some fun fanart to show my love for that masterpiece of an anime!

Feedback is appreciated! As are comments, faves, shares, and watches! Thanks for looking, and if you like my artwork, check out my gallery!

[UPDATE] 9/22 I have re rendered this model with updated fabric cushion, and some more fine tweaks in the post phase. I think it looks a lot better. Sorry if you liked the previous version better, but i didnt want two separate deviations for this. [/UPDATE]

Its a 3d render, made using Autodesk Maya.  I sure wish they were real!

It looked real for a moment 8O hahaha

I was thinking maybe more contrast in the colour of the emblem base and the cross edge? lining?

did you use some form of a liquid simulator for the red cushinoing?  this is fantastic by the way. it turned out better than my first attempt.

Thank you very much!
You mean for the model of the fabric, right? I had intended on using a cloth simulation to get it all accurate, but my computer couldnt handle it, so I ended up pushing polygons for a while.  i had a plane with 90x30 subdivisions, and just tweaked them around with smoothing on.  Hope that helps!

what computer are you using. or does Maya's cloth simulator really use a lot of power. I know blender can be slow but my laptop can handle ti decently.

Im using a 2006 macbook pro, with a pretty bad graphics card.  While I think the simulations are fairly intensive, this one wasnt too crazy, and just shows how weak my laptop is!
