Large rocky boulders on the way to the lower plateau of the mountain massif Chatyrdag Yayla along the Isháchka (“Donkey Path”).
Date: Oct. 16, 2020.
Materials: black marker, soft & oil pastels, Russian sauce pastels, chalk, colored pencils, acrylics, gouache, whiteout pen on pre-toned «Palazzo» sketching paper, 30x42 cm.

Well, one visits the large ones in their natural habitat. I collect the lost stones and rocks and even pebbles that are dislodged by bulldozers and other disturbances. Sometimes just find beautiful ones that I take inside and wash and keep or arrange somewhere in the garden. Bearing their scars of life and their ancient origins as badges of their reality.
I have a collection of small rocks, too. Rocks, stones, pebbles can be truly unique.
