Inktober Day 24 - Grover & Mister Johnson
"Oh, WAITER..."
And with that, we've reached the end of Sesame Street week! Looking back, it appears I've just chosen all the characters I loved the most, and didn't get the top billing they deserved.
Waiter Grover is right there in my top 3 of all time, and Mister Johnson was always so much the picture of frustration. Although the one sketch I remember most fondly is one where Mister Johnson got the best of his waiter - when his alphabet soup was no good because it didn't contain all 26 letters. By the time Grover was finished running back and forth from the kitchen to fetch the missing letters one at a time, the soup was too cold to eat, so he had to start all over again!
Starting tomorrow I'll be exploring the Henson-verse OUTSIDE the Muppet Show and/or Sesame Street, so we'll hit some cinematic material, some other television material, and then some... hope you're enjoying these as much as I enjoy making them.
