Kress, Son of Marisi

my amazing girlfriend Fealasy has started giving me projects as i level up on my path to convincing wizards to let me paint for magic. 

So she took a card from my collection at random and grabbed the legendary cat man, Marisi, Breaker of Chains. I think that's his name. 
she said okay: i want you to paint his son. 

started with a collection of concepts, went through a number of composition ideas with her and threw together some color swatches too. whole process can be seen on my artstation. here's the final.
