Kong: Skull Island is the second movie in the MonsterVerse , because every film company is now trying to copy Marvel's successful shared universe formula. I'm a fan of both the original King Kong movie and Peter Jackson's 2005 Kong remake, so I was excited to see this one. Additionally, the cast is phenomenal and includes some of my favorite actors, including Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman . Unlike Jackson's remake, this Kong movie is an original story, which could have worked very well. I say "could have," because while it has its charms, the overall product is a bit of a mess. The X-Men series has been one of the most varied film franchises in cinema history, in terms of quality. For every X-Men: First Class , there's an X-Men 3: The Last Stand . For every Deadpool , there's an X-Men Origins: Wolverine . Of the ten films in the series so far, Logan has made its way into my top three, and maybe top two. It's a compelling drama with a couple of excellent action set pieces. But it's definitely NOT for kids. Pros Logan is the most "adult" of the X-Men movies, and not just because it's a hard R movie. Themes of family, loss, drugs, pain, and death are all explored in this comic book movie, and it's well don...

As with all groups it is essential that you read the rules and familarise yourself with the folders, we are very strict with submissions going into the right place, and even stricter with regard to quality. Commercial offerings will be allowed but only into the correct folder and only when limited in number. We must draw your attention to the fact that anime and cartoon style submissions are strongly discouraged. Note that this group is concerned with non-juvenile forms of art and all submissions will be triaged with these rules in mind. Despite all the rules - please do enjoy submitting and don't let the rules disturb your enjoyment of the group.
