Zayan is a brooding jeweler from Saddle Arabia who runs a business making and selling jewelry. He moved only recently to Equestria and has not yet been settled in when his store was robbed by a teenager named Sasha, but because of his distaste for any intense punishment on children; he let her work at his shop for 10 months as a form a community service.
At first he didn't trust nor like the teen as he's not good with kids, but he gradually became to like her when she showed interest in his work and his everyday life. Now they're friends and he's become part of Sasha's family.

He has a strained relationship with his father. Who would regularly pick on him to try to "toughen" him up for the real world. A strained relationship to this day has never been mended as his father never approved of his job, sexuality or his moving to Equestria. Although he knows his father was wrong about a lot of things he's still influenced by them which shows up by the emotional barrier he gives to people in his life.
He expresses himself through actions rather then words, as making you a bowl of iced fruit as an apology is easier for him then saying "Sorry."

• His favorite type of jewelry to make is wedding rings on a unicorn/horn.
• Believes in all things supernatural.
• Zayan learned how to cook good food from his mother and Sasha takes full advantage of this fact by asking(forcing) him to make her food.
• He had undiagnosed Autism for 38 years. And only recently went to a doctor for a official diagnose
