I'm a 23 year old MA student/metalhead/writer/poet/lyricist.. a bit of a jack of all trades... am writing a fantasy epic called Herald of the Apocalypse and 40K fiction.. can be gentle, can be angry, at times very cynical, loving life etc.. So it's been a long, long time since I last posted or did anything here. I had finished the dissertation required for my MA in Translation, I've translated excerpts from Dan Abnett's Prospero Burns and Aaron Dembski-Bowden's Soul Hunter into Maltese, my native language. The viva-voce will be in October and I'll graduate in November. This has been the start of my project in promoting Maltese science-fiction which is practically non-existent in Malta bar for a few solitary efforts. Sci-fi such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Dune, Warhammer 40,000 etc is virtually absent, a situation I'm trying to remedy with the start of a novel written in Maltese ca

There is so much weariness and disappointment in travel that people have to open up  in railway trains, over a fire, on the decks of steamers, and in the palm courts of hotels on a rainy day. They have to pass the time somehow, and they can pass it only with themselves. Like the characters in Chekhov, they have no reserves  you learn the most intimate secrets.
