Greetings, all, and welcome to my nineteenth

FABULOUS FRIDAY FEATURE

If you've got someone you think should be featured in next Friday's Feature, I AM EVEN MORE DESPERATE FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS, and I'd love it if you would send me a note with a link to the deviation in question and I'll take a peek ;) I'd also love to hear about other features, particularly themed ones. I'll list those in the bottom section to help spread the word! The same goes for contests or news articles!

Please favorite this journal and pass it on! And if you liked this feature, be sure to check out the one from last week: azizriandaoxrak.deviantart.com…

I am ALWAYS seeking donations and nominations for my pay-it-forward project! So far I've been able to donate four premium memberships, and I'm only a few hundred points away from being able to give away another one! I want to be able to donate premium memberships to deserving members, so please check out my journal for info on sending nominations:
Pay-It-Forward Project:new:Update: Unfortunately, due to a number of factors, I will not be continuing this project. However, I strongly encourage you all to pay it forward yourselves!

Deviants so far who have received premium memberships as part of this project:

Greetings! I am posting this to let you all know I have decided I want to try to pay the premium membership love forward, and so I am looking for donations to go toward buying premium memberships for other people :) You can find the donation box on my front page. PLEASE DONATE! I'll need lots of help - all contributions are appreciated, no matter how small :)
That's part one, here's part two:
I'm seeking nominations for extra-special deviants, especially those who are really involved in the community, who don't already have a premium membersh

One last thing before we get started: I AM HOSTING A VALENTINE HANGOVER FLASH CONTEST! Anyone can enter, please PLEASE check out the journal :) azizriandaoxrak.deviantart.com…

I make everything a simile

The kind of darkness said to have made
shadow monsters of seen-too-much eyes

It's writing a story.

If not, try and see them. There is a place

You may enjoy intoxications. Still,

Untitled is just a synonym for lazy.Well, the color poem form I introduced to dA was a rousing success, but interest of late seems to have died down. So I'm back with a new form for you all, something exciting and new, something different, something that I will probably make into a contest once I get some points in the bank. You ready?
EDIT
There's a group now - feel free to head over to TheTitlePage! We're still in set-up mode, so excuse the plainness for now.

Found Poetry Project - Titles as Art

One of my favorite things about the creative process is coming up with a good title. The title can make or break a piece; it can give context not provided in the piece itself, set a tone or mood, or just give that little extra something you can't put a name on.
You know I'm right. How many times have you stumbled into an ordinary piece with a beautifully creative title? And it's not something

About Love dA Lit
Love dA Lit aims to promote volunteer opportunities, various resources, prompts, challenges, and workshops, as well as highlighting various contests, and spotlighting a specific group every week. Featured by Solarune
I became completely absorbed reading glossolalias' pieces (and had to triple-check that we'd not featured him before, because it seemed unbelievable that we hadn't). Each one shows something new, like opening a hundred tiny windows that show different views into a secret, magical place - because glossolalias is a storyteller of the best kind, who doesn't compromise with the truth, who treats it with respect. His writing is sharp, precious and multi-layered, calling out to you to read it from the first line, assuring you that you are in safe hands. His works feel polished, professional, startling, full of love and also complete - as if each one takes you painfully apart and puts you back together again as something new. I was blown away. In the end, I gave up trying to pick four "best" pieces, because after narrowing-down I was left with way too many, and tried to pick them for variation. If you enjoy any of th

The Unexpected Love ContestHas someone special that you love surprised, delighted, or changed your life in an unexpected, but joyful way? I want to hear your stories.
So Unexpected…
One of the best things about finding new love is the excitement and anticipation of the unknown. All of us at one time have felt that exhilarating feeling of unforeseen passion. I want for you to express to me in a poem or short story this unexpected feeling, and what it ultimately means to you. Be as vividly original as you can to make your deviation stand out, but do keep our key elements of what you feel the aspects of “unexpected love” entails as your primary motivation while writing.

I have never found a companion who was so companionable as solitude.
Henry David Thoreau
By :icontechgnotic: techgnotic
I I always thought of Thoreau’s comment as simply a word game — clever but ultimately false at its core. A Valentines Day without a Valentine means being alone and alone means being unhappy. It’s taken many years to finally understand the truth in Thoreau’s words. We are never so alone as when in the company of loving family and friends, our Valentine companion held tight in our arms – but knowing we are lost, unfulfilled in our dreams and visions, and untrusting in our own inner counsel. Now I hope to one day seek compani
