SUGOI KAWAII DESU DESU STAMP by Azixel SUGOI KAWAII DESU DESU STAMP by Azixel
desudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesudesu

PLEASE,PLEASEEEEEEEEE STOP ABUSING THE ONLY FOREIGN LANGUAGES YOU KNOW!
:| Seriously, can you even type in Japanese sugoi/kawaii/desu without using google translator?
Do you actually have any clue about this country (Japan, just in case you didn't know) except of manga/anime?
Do you know what those words mean?
Do you know any other words except of those that they're using in anime?
Also do you have a clue about Japan culture and language?

Well I assume you don't since all you know to say is "SUGOI KAWAII DESU :iconimhappyplz:

I'm just fed of people raping this poor language. And they make people like me who study japanese and try hard, look stupid, while they're the stupid ones.

Well excuuuuuse me princess, but I'd rather you took the shame on your shoulders.
After all acting like that proves only your own stupidity and childishness.

At least you give us some lulz yeah : D

By the way this stamp is not created (in any way) to abuse anime/manga fans or any other people who like Japan.
This stamp was created to bash some people who think that because they watch anime, they can speak frequently Japanese while in fact they only know those 3 words and they make sure they use (especially the word "DESU") in every last of their sentences!

So yeah k thnx that's all my sugoi kawaii desu fans! :iconiloveitplz:

The part that makes it funnier is that most people "u" in words like desu and masu when in most speech the "u" is silent.
Usually the "u" is pronounced only from moe girls trying to sound cute in anime. (At least from what I've seen)

I may have only taken about two years of Japanese in school (and forgot much of it) but it's funny running into the "Sugoi Kawaii desu" people and just say "おはようございます私Adrienneですどぞよろしく。" (translation: Good morning my name is Adrienne, please treat me well/favorably.) And just see their faces of confusion. (I learned how to say that my first week and how to write that the first month)

When I think of people who use those words, I think of the 2 most stupidest "words" in the English language, "YOLO" and "swag."
Imagine a Japanese guy yelling yolo or swag 24/7.

I actually want to learn Japanese.
I don't need a translator, I'll just watch teaching videos and take notes.

But what makes me angry is when people pronounce 'desu' with a 'u', they don't understand that it is silent!!!!

Alright, this is for the people who do not even have half a brain to even think about learning some rudimentary grammar for a foreign language that they do not know. My sincere gratitude to the author for pointing out the glaring abuse of foreign language.

(Rōmaji not withstanding) 凄い (すごい, sugoi; terrific, awful (yes, both meaning of awful)) is an adjective (more or less), 可愛い (かわいい, かわゆい, kawaii, kawayui ; lovable, cute (note: the word does carry a bit of connotation for pitiful)) is also an adjective (again, more or less). Now, how do I know that those are adjectives? See the 'い' at the end of the word? That almost guarentees the said word is an adjective. That, and I used a dictionary. (^_-)-☆

Now, An adjective is not used to describe another adjective in English. Well guess what, same thing applies to Japanese; in fact, one cannot, period (<sarcasm>yay, linguistic prescriptivism</sarcasm>). So, to modify an adjective, an adverb must be used. In this case, we are trying to modify 'lovable' with 'awfully' (see that '-ly'? Yeah, that is what we are going to do in Japanese too). So to inflect an adjective into an adverb in Japanese, we use 'く' in lieu of that 'い' in the end. Aaand now the sentence is grammatically correct (すごく可愛いです).

As for the (mis)usage of 'desu', all I can say is that 'there is a time and place for everything'... orz (I hate writing, so I am not interested in pumping out another (overly) long description of correct grammar).

Again, my sincere gratitude for the author, and hopefully less people will use that braindead construct (again)... (though I highly doubt it) STO.

If you're going to learn Japanese, you're going to spam a lot the word "desu" before learning a few other words to replace it, but it's only natural to use it at early levels, but not spam it everywhere for no reason at all.
