My Bio
Well where to start....
Well, lets see, first My father met my mother then the stork dropped me down in the cabbage patch. But my father being a busy farmer did not notice me for a couple of months, during that time I was raised by wild boars... Then the Ufo's came and here I am..... Wait, that's not correct...

Okay, lets try I grew up on a rural farm in Iowa, joined the army, traveled the world for 12 years then ended right back in Iowa. I currently reside in Hiawatha, Iowa where I work full time at the Ottsen Oil Company and write on the weekends.

I like photography, painting, writing, hanging out at the coffee shops and my friends. I never seem to have any down time as I always have projects in the works. Even now I am writing one novel and two short stories at the same time whilst playing my drums and guitar.

Life is for the living and I am getting some living done!

I have several years photography experience. I started taking photos when I was seven with my grandmothers old brownie camera. I bought my first camera of my own when I was 12 and have never looked back. I also love to work with 3D programs and photoshop. I have used Illustrator and several other graphic programs as well. As always if you have a specific question on any techniques that I may use please send me a note or leave a message and I will get back to you with the answer if I know it.

Currently I am still using a Cannon 30D (one tough camera!) Digital camera and I am planning on purchasing the 50D later on for my work.

Storm Here in Iowa

Storm Here in Iowa

Last Monday we had a Derecho wind storm here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa we had 140 MPH winds sustained for over an hour. Damage is massive, 2800 power poles snapped in half, 68 % of our trees were torn down, power was out to over 120,000 locations. The commander of the national guard company sent to Cedar Rapids said it is worse than any war-torn areas he has ever seen. We are clearing out trees and starting repairs on our area. Estimates are that the recovery time will stretch into 2023 or longer for everything. Still, people in our area are working together and helping one another. People are bringing the repair crews food and water as they work to fix the power lines. The red cross arrived with one truck a full week after the storm, still, we are glad to have them. People are amazingly resilient, with no real complaints from lots of people here who have every right to do so, I am amazed by them. I have never really worried about these things as they seem to happen more and more with
