How to get better at art and find inspiration!
Hey everyone!! Art improvement and inspiration is always the question I get asked most, so I am really going to go into detail! If I help just one person I will be a bundle of joy! Jemaica, how do I know you have any knowledge of this subject?? Behold, my 5 year improvement meme! I think I improved quite a bit in 5 years! How can an artist improve? The number 1 way to get good at art is to PRACTICE A LOT! Imagine that there are 10,000 bad drawings stuck in your hand before you can get to the really really good ones. I need your help! O: (voting LAST ROUND!)
[Edit 27.4.2016] Updated voting link for the final round! This will determine the winner. :) Hello, how are you doing today? It's a bit sudden to ask for help once again, but man, I AM SO EXCITED! There's this thing in Germany called Max und Moritz Preis, which, for comic artists, is one of the coolest things you can get nominated for.... AND GUESS WHAT, Crash 'n' Burn, my Manga (read it here), has been nominated this year! ~excitedplz (https://www.deviantart.com/excitedplz) Last year I won the golden Kibo 'best Mangaka award' thanks to your amazing flood of votes but it never arrived, and honestly, I was crushed. Now this chance presents itself, I just couldn't help bu
CHEATING in digital art? gasp
I am in lots of art discussion groups on facebook and today I saw a post with a very common topic, what is cheating in digital art? OP asked if liquify tool is cheating, or photobash and things like that. I was sharing my opinion and reading other's opinions and I thought I would also take those thoughts here My thoughts are that: Photobash/liquify/anything is not necessarily cheating even sakimichan uses liquify/burn and dodge tool...and rossdraws does photobashing and colorpicking...and they are both professional and amazing artists I think if you are 'cheating' (like copying an entire picture and saying it was yours) you will know it d
