|Born and raised in France, now raising my sons in the US while developing my dress up game business. I love drawing characters, and I don't like having a boss, so owning a dress up site is literally my dream job!|
The game is up: Elf Boy</span>
Let me know if you run into glitches, please.
I was lazy and totally re-used the design elements from Magical Elf, so I’ll have a harder time convincing you this isn’t exactly a male version of Magical Elf; but you’ll find it’s different in some ways: he has less items, he looks younger than the girl, and it’s more closely tied to a specific character (Link). Although you can make other characters, like Hiccup from How to train your dragon, a young Legolas, Peter Pan (and OCs, obviously).
Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever put a game in so many categories before… it’s in exclusive, fantasy, characters, and boys, not mentioning sub-categories. You can’t miss it on my website.
The reason there are such few male dress ups out there, is because they do less well (girls overwhelmingly prefer to dress up a female doll), and also because it’s easier to create a game centered around a female, not only the clothes but also the pose, the make-up, the hair, the jewelry etc.
So I simply aimed to keep it small, but neat and professional. I hope you enjoy it, and happy Easter
One more elf character before I move on!
It’s not a male version of the Magical Elf per say, rather a small game mostly inspired by Link. I’m not a gamer by the way, but my sons are already pretty deep into video games, and I gotta say I like the aesthetic of Legend of Zelda; such a nice fantasy feel.
It will be out in 2 to 3 weeks, first the web version then the phone app.
I now have Magical Elf available as an Android phone app. Note that the Buy button on the first screen doesn’t work; the app is simply free with an ad at the beginning. If you use it, I really could use your feedback (here) on whether the app worked for you, as well as ratings and reviews at the Play Store. Thanks!
